CNC Programmer – 5 Axis Mills & Lathes (Southwark)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a rapidly expanding specialist manufacturing business in Southwark. The role involves programming, setting up and operating a range of 5‑axis CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components for automotive and aerospace projects.

Key responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate 5‑axis CNC milling and turning centres.
• Produce specialist components for automation, automotive and aerospace applications.
• Train and mentor junior machinists and operators.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and efficiency in a 40‑hour week with occasional overtime.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and the growth of the new factory.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or senior machinist.
• Hands‑on experience with both CNC mills and lathes.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a tight‑knit workshop team.
• Willingness to train junior staff and share knowledge.

Required skills

• 5‑axis CNC milling programming.
• 5‑axis CNC turning programming.
• Operation of CNC mills and lathes.
• Understanding of precision component manufacturing.
