About the role
We are looking for a CNC Programmer with experience on mills and lathes to join a people‑first engineering company in Exeter. You will work on bespoke, high‑tolerance components for sectors such as civil engineering, construction and industrial processing, with the chance to earn significant overtime.
Key responsibilities
- Program, set up and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes to produce precision components.
- Take advantage of optional overtime (paid at 1.5 ×) – up to 15 hours per week.
Required profile
- CNC Programmer or similar background.
- Experience in a precision or heavy engineering environment.
- Ability to handle both one‑off bespoke parts and production runs.
Required skills
- CNC milling.
- CNC turning.
- CNC programming.
- Interpretation of engineering drawings.
- Dimensional inspection.
What we offer
- Early finish on Fridays (7:00‑13:00).
- Extensive optional overtime paid at 1.5 ×.
- Competitive hourly rate £21‑£23 (OTE up to £68,000).
