CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer, Setter and Operator to join GD Rectifiers in Burgess Hill. You will work with high‑precision Cincinnati CNC milling machines equipped with Heidenhain controls, producing components for the power electronics sector.

Key responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate Cincinnati CNC milling machines with Heidenhain controls.
• Produce high‑precision power‑electronics components to engineering specifications.
• Support the production team with assembly tasks and general factory duties.
• Manage stock movements and ensure accurate inventory records.
• Report progress and issues directly to the CNC Supervisor.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in CNC milling machining.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on programming CNC machines using Heidenhain (or similar) controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good communication with sales and production teams and strict adherence to health‑and‑safety procedures.
• GCSE or equivalent preferred; forklift licence desirable but not essential.
