CNC Setter / Operator – Bristol

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join our Bristol manufacturing team. You will work with state‑of‑the‑art Mazak lathes and Haas/Fanuc machining centres to produce precision‑engineered components for centrifugal pump applications.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate Mazak CNC lathes, Mazak and Haas machining centres.
• Prepare tooling, fixtures and interpret engineering drawings.
• Produce precision components from a variety of materials while maintaining tight tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment and adjust tooling as required.
• Carry out routine machine checks, basic preventive maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Identify and resolve machining issues and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience as a CNC Setter or Operator in a precision engineering or manufacturing setting.
• Proven ability to set up and run CNC turning and/or milling machines.
• Good working knowledge of Mazatrol and Haas/Fanuc control systems.

• Salary £34,500‑£37,650 per annum, dependent on experience.
