CNC Setter / Operator – Full Training into Programming

About the role

We are seeking a CNC Setter / Operator to join a leading engineering manufacturer in Exeter. The successful candidate will work a 4‑day late‑shift week, operating state‑of‑the‑art CNC milling machines and receiving full internal training to become a CNC programmer.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up, operate and monitor CNC milling machines to produce components for aerospace, medical, automotive and motorsport sectors.
• Interpret engineering drawings and work orders to ensure correct machining parameters.
• Maintain machine cleanliness, perform routine checks and report any faults.
• Participate in a structured training programme to acquire CNC programming skills.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a CNC Setter or Operator on milling equipment.
• Willingness to work the late shift (11:30 am – 9:45 pm) on a four‑day week.
• Based within commuting distance of Exeter, Honiton, Sidmouth, Seaton or Cullompton.
