CNC Setter / Operator (Miller)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled CNC Setter / Operator (Miller) to join our machining cell in Lower Dicker. You will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines to produce parts that meet exact drawing specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and run both proven and new CNC programs, adjusting tool coordinates as needed.
• Produce first‑off parts to required quality standards and monitor ongoing production.
• Switch between machines when required and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
• Complete training programmes to maintain high efficiency and safety.
• Assist with other duties as directed by the Machining Cell Leader.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years hands‑on experience with CNC machining.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and ISO standards.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset and deadline‑driven attitude.
• Motivated, team‑oriented and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Operation of CNC machines (FANUC, Heidenhain, Siemens).
• Reading and programming ISO and conversational machine code.
• Offline programming experience, preferably with AlphaCAM.
• Use of electronic inspection tools such as a Faro Arm.
• Manual and CNC turning experience.
• Basic IT literacy (Windows 7, MS Office).
