CNC Setter / Operator – Precision Lathes

About the role

Join a specialist precision engineering manufacturer as a CNC Setter / Operator working on high‑precision lathes. You will produce bespoke gears, sprockets, splines and other transmission components for a variety of industries, enjoying a days‑based schedule with an early finish on Fridays.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision gears and transmission parts.
• Produce one‑off, prototype and production components from engineering drawings.
• Carry out machine set‑ups, tool changes and routine quality inspections.
• Maintain tight tolerances and high quality standards throughout production.
• Work Monday‑Thursday 8:00‑17:00 and Friday 8:00‑13:00, with regular overtime available.

Required profile

• Experience as a CNC Setter, Operator, Turner or Machinist.
• Proven ability to set and operate CNC lathes.
• Competent reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Ability to commute to Redditch.
