CNC Setter/Operator – Kent

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join a close‑knit, four‑person team in Strood, Kent. You will work in a clean manufacturing facility producing electrical equipment, following structured shift patterns and adhering to high‑precision 5S standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead machine changeovers and run high‑precision production batches.
• Modify and optimise Fanuc and Mitsubishi CNC programmes on Mori Seiki, Citizen and Muratec machines.
• Inspect finished parts against strict tolerances using precision measuring gauges.
• Optimise tooling setups and maintain 5S workplace standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of CNC setting and operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings independently.
• Experience with Fanuc or Mitsubishi controls and Mori Seiki or Citizen CNC machines is highly desirable.
• Willingness to work rotating weekly shifts (6 am‑2 pm / 2 pm‑10 pm).
