CNC Shop Manager

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on professional to lead a CNC shop while continuing to work directly with machinery. You will join a respected local business, managing a skilled engineering team and developing your career in senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and occasionally run CNC machines, setting up and programming them for production runs.
• Lead a team of engineers on a triple‑shift schedule, ensuring safety, quality and on‑time delivery.
• Manage daily shop activities including stripping, inspecting, surveying and rebuilding mechanical products.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet production targets and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment.
• Hands‑on ability to set up, run and programme CNC machines.
• Experience working on a shift pattern, preferably triple shift.
• Valid right to work in the United Kingdom.
