CNC Turner – Operator/Setter – £17-£21/hr, Early Friday Finish

About the role

We are seeking a CNC Turner (operator/setter/programmer) to join a long‑established, family‑run engineering business in Brighouse, Yorkshire and Humberside. The company supplies high‑value, precision components for the wire, rope and tube industry and works on low‑volume, bespoke batches.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret customer drawings and produce low‑volume, high‑precision components.
• Machine tool steel and hardened steels using Fanuc‑controlled CNC lathes.
• Set up, program and operate CNC equipment to meet tight tolerances.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure consistent production output.
• Undertake optional overtime on weekdays and Saturdays at enhanced rates.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner, operator or setter.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
• Willingness to develop CAD/CAM skills (training provided).
• Reliability and commitment to a stable, days‑based role.
• Interest in progressing to a supervisory position over time.
