About the role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a well‑established precision engineering company in Edinburgh. The role involves setting up, operating and programming CNC lathes to produce high‑quality components to tight tolerances.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC turning machines.
- Edit and program CNC lathes (Fanuc/Siemens preferred).
- Produce precision‑machined components from engineering drawings.
- Conduct quality checks using micrometers, verniers and other measuring tools.
- Maintain health & safety standards and good housekeeping.
- Work to tight deadlines while ensuring accuracy.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required skills
- Operating CNC turning machines.
- Fanuc or Siemens CNC controls.
- CNC programming and editing.
- Use of measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers.
