CNC Turner – Precision Machining Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a well‑established precision engineering business in Chessington. You will be responsible for producing high‑quality turned components for sectors such as aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, nuclear and general engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture precision parts.
• Produce components to tight tolerances directly from engineering drawings.
• Perform tool changes, offsets and machine adjustments as required.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping in the machine shop.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet delivery schedules.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner, CNC Lathe Setter/Operator or CNC Machinist in a precision engineering environment.
• Ability to set and operate CNC lathes (programming knowledge is a plus but not essential).
• Strong capability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring tools to verify machined components.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.

What we offer

• Salary £35,000 – £40,000 per year
• Monday‑Thursday 8:00‑17:00, early finish Fridays at 12:00
