CNC Turner / Programmer / Setter – Immediate Start

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a leading automation engineering company in Kent. The successful candidate will program, set up and operate CNC turning centres and horizontal machining centres, delivering high‑quality components to tight tolerances. The role offers an immediate start with the flexibility to accommodate notice periods.

Key responsibilities

• Program and set up parts on CNC turning centres and horizontal machining centres.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to produce accurate components.
• Design fixtures and select appropriate work‑holding solutions to ensure operator‑friendly jobs.
• Choose suitable materials, tooling, cutting speeds and feeds for each operation.
• Maintain close tolerances and uphold a high standard of quality throughout production.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner, ideally with time‑served background.
• Full competence with CNC turning centres and horizontal machining centres.
• Strong knowledge of materials, tooling, cutting speeds and feeds.
• Ability to work efficiently to achieve close tolerances.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
