CNC Turner – Programming, Setting & Operating

About the role

Our client, a well‑established precision engineering business in Havant, is seeking an experienced CNC Turner. You will program, set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce high‑quality components to tight tolerances, with occasional support for milling operations.

Key responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC turning machines using Pro Trax and Siemens 828 controls.
• Interpret engineering drawings and manufacture precision‑engineered components.
• Select, install and change tooling as required for each job.
• Conduct first‑off, in‑process and final inspections using measuring equipment.
• Identify and resolve machining and programming issues promptly.
• Provide occasional assistance to CNC milling operations to meet production targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes.
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls is highly advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling and tolerances.
• Experience using inspection and measuring equipment.
• Resides within a commutable distance of Havant.

What we offer

• £18.00‑£20.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
• 37.5‑hour week (Mon‑Fri, 07:30‑16:00) with overtime opportunities.
