CNC Turner / Setter / Operator – Precision Engineering

About the role

This position is for a CNC Turner / Setter / Operator working the late shift in a precision engineering company based in Milton Keynes. You will be responsible for setting up, programming and operating high‑precision CNC turning and milling machines to produce components from a variety of metals and plastics.

Key responsibilities

• Operate MAZAK and Doosan CNC machine centres on the late shift (Mon‑Thu 14:00‑22:00, Fri 13:00‑20:00).
• Set up machines, load programmes and use live tooling for complex parts.
• Carry out in‑process dimensional and visual checks using appropriate measuring equipment.
• Manage multiple machines when required and ensure production meets deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate any issues to the team.

Required profile

• Experience setting and operating MAZAK and Doosan CNC machines in a fast‑paced precision environment.
• Knowledge of Fanuc or Mazatrol controls.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings.
• Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
