CNC Turner Setter Operator – Precision Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner Setter Operator to join a leading precision manufacturing company in Basildon. You will work with Doosan and Haas CNC lathes to produce high‑quality aerospace and defence components.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate Doosan (4100L, 4100) and Haas (ST15Y) CNC lathes.
• Install chucks, fixtures and tooling according to setting instructions.
• Machine precision components to engineering drawing specifications.
• Inspect parts on‑machine to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards.
• Monitor tool wear and maintain tooling condition.
• Visually check surface finish to meet quality requirements.
• Achieve agreed production targets in line with the manufacturing schedule.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating CNC lathes in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and quality documentation.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering components that meet exact specifications.
