CNC Turner Setter Programmer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner Setter Programmer to join a fast‑growing precision manufacturing team in Basildon. You will work with Doosan and Haas CNC lathes to produce high‑quality aerospace and defence components, handling setup, operation and online programming to meet exact engineering specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Set, operate and online programme Doosan and Haas CNC lathes.
• Produce precision‑machined components to engineering drawing specifications.
• Create, edit and adjust CNC programmes directly on the machine.
• Set chucks, fixtures and tooling according to setting instructions.
• Define tool heights and tool offsets for accurate machining.
• Inspect components at the machine to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards.
• Achieve agreed production targets and meet scheduled manufacturing requirements.
• Monitor tool wear and maintain tooling condition.
• Visually inspect surface finish to uphold quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner, Setter and Programmer.
• Ability to work with modern CNC machinery and take ownership of the machining process.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality precision components.
• Willingness to work in a regulated aerospace/defence environment.
