CNC Vertical Borer Setter / Operator / Programmer

About the role

Bennett & Game Recruitment are working with an established engineering business to hire two experienced CNC Vertical Borer Setter / Operator / Programmers for permanent day or night shifts in Ashton‑under‑Lyne.

Key responsibilities

• Set, operate and program CNC Vertical Boring / Lathe machines.
• Program using Fanuc controls and Cimco CAD/CAM.
• Interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Machine medium to heavy workpieces and self‑inspect completed components.
• Work with materials such as aluminium, stainless steel and super‑duplex.
• Maintain quality and safety standards and work overtime when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience with CNC Vertical Borer or Vertical Lathe machines.
• Strong setting, operating and programming background.
• Hands‑on experience with Fanuc controls.
• Familiarity with Cimco or similar CAD/CAM software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience handling medium/heavy engineering components and a range of materials.
