Cold Chain & ETSF Operations Manager

About the role

UCH Logistics Ltd is seeking an experienced Cold Chain & ETSF Operations Manager to lead the day‑to‑day activities of its temperature‑controlled warehouse and External Temporary Storage Facility (ETSF) at London Heathrow. The role is hands‑on, working closely with warehouse, transport, customs and customer service teams to ensure safe, compliant and efficient handling of all shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the temperature‑controlled warehouse and ETSF facility.
• Oversee all temperature‑controlled and ETSF shipments from receipt to delivery, release or onward movement.
• Ensure handling complies with GDP, HMRC, Border Force, CAA and internal procedures.
• Maintain accurate customs and warehouse documentation for inspection.
• Monitor temperature records, storage conditions and audit trails to sustain full GDP compliance.
• Collaborate with the Responsible Person on quality and compliance matters.
• Coordinate warehouse, transport and customer service activities to achieve high service levels.
• Support HMRC, MHRA and customer audits, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Identify and drive operational efficiency improvements while maintaining regulatory standards.
• Lead, coach and develop warehouse staff, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong operational and compliance knowledge within a warehouse environment.
• Experience supervising or managing warehouse staff and processes.
• Familiarity with GDP, customs regulations and temperature‑controlled logistics.
• Ability to work closely with regulatory bodies and internal quality teams.
