Collaborative Streetworks Manager

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Collaborative Streetworks Manager to lead partnership initiatives between SGN, local authorities and other utility providers across Scotland. This 12‑month secondment will be based in Glasgow and will play a pivotal part in reducing disruption to the gas network while delivering financial, environmental and social benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, utility companies and key stakeholders.
• Promote collaborative working practices internally and secure buy‑in from senior teams.
• Identify and develop new opportunities to minimise the frequency and duration of street works.
• Represent SGN at coordination meetings, working groups and steering forums.
• Coordinate project delivery to meet challenging deadlines and commitments.
• Support planning of traffic‑management arrangements, shared resources and integrated work programmes.
• Prepare project completion reports and evidence for Ofgem incentive submissions.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and influencing abilities, able to engage audiences at all levels.
• Proven ability to work independently, make sound decisions and take ownership of outcomes.
• Experience working with local authorities, utility companies or infrastructure organisations.
• Strong planning and coordination capabilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Commercial awareness of how collaborative working can generate cost efficiencies and broader business benefits.
