Collections Consultant – Hybrid (Milton Keynes)

About the role

We are looking for a Collections Consultant to join our fast‑growing fintech lender in Milton Keynes. The position is hybrid, requiring up to four days a week in the office, and involves supporting customers who are in arrears through phone, email, SMS and WhatsApp.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound communications across multiple channels within SLA.
• Contact customers in arrears, discuss their situation and agree sustainable repayment arrangements.
• Set up and maintain repayment plans, direct debits and forbearance arrangements accurately.
• Process IVA and DMP notifications and apply the appropriate vulnerability processes.
• Record case details and call notes after each interaction.
• Meet daily and monthly contact, quality and performance targets.

Required profile

• Experience working in a consumer debt collections team.
• Familiarity with IVA and DMP processes.
• Strong negotiation and objection‑handling abilities with an empathetic approach.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
