CombiLift & Counterbalance Forklift Driver

About the role

Responsive Personnel is seeking an experienced CombiLift and Counterbalance forklift driver to join a client’s warehouse in Swindon. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe handling, movement, loading and unloading of goods, ensuring stock is stored correctly and warehouse operations run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CombiLift and Counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles following company procedures.
• Transport materials and products throughout the warehouse and yard.
• Store goods accurately in designated locations.
• Carry out daily pre‑use equipment checks and report any defects.
• Assist with stock control, stock counts and inventory management.
• Maintain health and safety standards at all times.
• Keep the working area clean and organised.
• Support general warehouse duties when required.
• Complete paperwork and system updates accurately.

Required profile

• Valid CombiLift and Counterbalance forklift licences/certifications.
• Previous experience operating both types of forklift.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and health & safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills.
• Flexible approach and willingness to assist with other warehouse tasks.
