Commercial Account Executive

About the role

The Commercial Account Executive will drive new commercial insurance business and grow existing client relationships. You will work directly with prospects, introducers and existing customers across a range of sectors, using phone, Teams and face‑to‑face meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new commercial insurance opportunities from initial contact to policy placement.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including quoting, underwriting liaison and closing deals.
• Cross‑sell additional coverages within the existing book of business.
• Attend networking events, run targeted sales campaigns and re‑engage lapsed clients.
• Serve clients in construction, property, hospitality, retail, leisure and manufacturing.
• Handle a variety of insurance classes such as Property, EL, PL, Commercial Combined, PI, D&O, Fleet and Cyber.
• Target accounts with gross written premium between £10k‑£50k, while also pursuing larger opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial insurance sales or a related B2B environment.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with clients, prospects and introducers.
• Ability to work independently, manage a flexible diary and meet sales targets.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Required skills

• Knowledge of commercial insurance products (Property, EL, PL, Commercial Combined, PI, D&O, Fleet, Cyber).
• Experience using telephone, Microsoft Teams and face‑to‑face client meetings.
