Commercial Account Handler – Newbury

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join our Newbury team. You will provide technical, customer‑relationship and administrative support to a designated Account Executive and the wider broking team, handling commercial and corporate risks for prestigious clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support Account Executives in achieving new‑business and renewal targets through proactive administration.
• Manage prospect pipelines, conduct pre‑visit fact‑finding and prepare documentation using public sources such as Credit Safe and company websites.
• Obtain quotations for up‑sell products (e.g., Excess PL, D&O, Excess PI, Loss Recovery) and incorporate them into renewal review reports.
• Arrange and attend client renewal appointments, enhancing relationships alongside the Account Executive.
• Prepare detailed renewal review reports, gather claims experience, and negotiate premiums with underwriters.
• Process adjustments, produce client reports and other required documentation.

Required profile

• Recent experience as an Account Handler or broker support professional.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and market dynamics.
• Excellent customer service and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently while supporting senior Account Executives.
