Commercial Catering Equipment Installation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Catering Equipment Installation Engineer to join a fast‑growing specialist installer serving large catering clients across London and the surrounding Essex area. The role involves delivering high‑quality installations on new builds and refurbishments for restaurants, hotels, care homes and similar venues.

Key responsibilities

• Install commercial catering equipment, including gas, electrical and water connections.
• Carry out pipework, plumbing and electrical wiring in line with the 18th Edition standards.
• Commission and test equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Work on site for periods ranging from a few days up to four weeks, typically starting at 8 am and finishing mid‑afternoon.
• Travel to project locations in London and occasionally the Essex border, with occasional night‑away assignments.

Required profile

• Residency in North London, East London or Essex.
• Physically fit for moderate lifting and handling of equipment.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of workmanship.

Required skills

• Electrical installation experience (18th Edition certification preferred).
• Plumbing and pipe‑work competence.
• Experience installing commercial catering or kitchen equipment.
