Commercial Catering Installation Engineer

About the role

This is a great opportunity to join a well‑established commercial catering equipment installer that is experiencing rapid growth. The business works with large catering clients across the London and Essex area and is looking for engineers who take pride in delivering high‑quality installations.

Key responsibilities

• Install commercial catering equipment, including gas, electrical and water connections.
• Work on new‑build and refurbishment projects for restaurants, hotels, care homes and similar venues.
• Travel primarily within London, with occasional work on the Essex border.
• Potentially spend 2‑3 nights away per year, though this is rare.
• Remain on site for periods of one to four weeks, typically starting at 8 am and finishing mid‑afternoon.
• Carry out pipework, electrical connections and commissioning of equipment.

Required profile

• Reside in north London, east London or the Essex area.
• Hold a valid 18th Edition electrical qualification.
• Demonstrate solid plumbing and pipe‑work experience.
• Previous experience installing commercial catering equipment is highly beneficial.
• Be fit and able to perform moderate lifting.
