Commercial Claims Handler / Claims Executive

About the role

This position is based in South West London and offers a hybrid working model (three days in the office or on client visits). You will join a respected commercial insurance broker’s claims team, providing end‑to‑end service for a diverse portfolio of corporate and SME clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial insurance claims from first notification through to settlement across a wide range of risks.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, insurers, loss adjusters and other third parties.
• Review policy cover, negotiate settlements and provide technical guidance throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Support clients with complex claims, ensuring clear communication and proactive case management.
• Identify claims trends and contribute to service‑delivery improvements and client risk management.
• Attend client meetings when required, offering expert claims advice and strengthening long‑term relationships.

Required profile

• Previous experience handling commercial insurance claims.
• Background in a broker, insurer or loss‑adjusting environment is desirable.
• Good knowledge of commercial classes such as Property, Employers’ Liability and Public Liability.
• Proactive, collaborative attitude with a passion for delivering excellent client outcomes.
