Commercial Contracts Solicitor – 2+ PQE, Birmingham

About the role

This position offers an ambitious commercial contracts solicitor the chance to join a nationally‑recognised law firm’s award‑winning commercial team in Birmingham. You will work with FTSE‑listed companies, household brands, public sector bodies and fast‑growing UK businesses, handling high‑value, complex agreements across a variety of sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and advise on a broad range of commercial contracts, including supply, distribution, outsourcing, logistics, manufacturing, procurement and consultancy agreements.
• Work on IT and technology contracts, international commercial matters and major public‑sector projects.
• Provide strategic commercial advice to clients, maintaining direct client contact from day one.
• Develop long‑term relationships with an impressive portfolio of clients across sectors such as automotive, aerospace, retail, healthcare and financial services.

Required profile

• At least two years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in commercial contract work.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage complex negotiations.
• Confidence in dealing directly with senior clients and delivering practical solutions.
• A desire for business development and a long‑term career in a leading commercial practice.

Required skills

• Expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Knowledge of sector‑specific commercial arrangements and regulatory considerations.
