Commercial Director

About the role

Our client, an ambitious international workplace consultancy, is seeking a Commercial Director to own and drive the commercial agenda of a fast‑growing, design‑led business. Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, you will shape strategy, protect profitability and support the next phase of European expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy as the business scales.
• Lead estimating, contracts, cost management and commercial governance across all projects.
• Negotiate high‑value contracts with multinational clients and supply‑chain partners.
• Partner with the CEO, CFO and Board on performance, risk and long‑term value creation.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing commercial team and implement scalable processes.
• Protect margins and cash flow while championing value engineering and smart risk management.

Required profile

• Senior commercial leadership experience in fit‑out, construction, workplace or design‑and‑build environments.
• Proven track record of driving profitability during periods of rapid growth.
• Strong expertise in commercial management, procurement and estimating.
• Experience negotiating major contracts and influencing at Board and client level.
