Commercial Director

About the role

Jackson Hogg, a long‑established multi‑service organisation in Prudhoe, is looking for a Commercial Director to lead commercial performance across several divisions. This senior position blends strategic leadership with hands‑on delivery in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate quickly into the team and organisational culture.
• Build strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Lead commercial strategy, pricing, margin review and cost control.
• Review and approve tenders before submission.
• Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify opportunities.
• Drive cross‑selling across multiple service lines.
• Support marketing activity, including social media and web presence.
• Contribute to board‑level discussions and strategic planning.
• Coach, mentor and develop managers into effective leaders.
• Produce and present commercial and performance reports.
• Monitor supplier, client and subcontractor performance.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities through networks, digital channels and referrals.

Required profile

• Energetic, proactive and commercially astute.
• Strong communicator with proven leadership capability.
• Comfortable working strategically and operationally.
• Background in construction, new‑build housing, flooring, interiors or cleaning services is desirable.
• Strong financial/commercial understanding essential.
