Commercial Electrician – Training into Medical Devices

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Commercial Electrician to join a fast‑growing medical‑device manufacturer. You will receive a 12‑month mentorship programme, including OEM training in the Netherlands, to become a specialist in installing, maintaining and servicing specialist medical equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and service medical equipment across the UK.
• Work primarily from the workshop (≈65% of the time) with occasional field visits and short stays away.
• Follow a structured technical training programme to become a task expert.
• Participate in on‑call duties and overtime as required.

Required profile

• Qualified electrician holding NVQ 2391, 2394 or 2395 (or equivalent).
• Experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar electrical role.
• Motivated to undertake extensive training and progress within the medical‑devices sector.

Required skills

• Electrical installation
• BS7671 compliance
• Inspection and testing of electrical systems
• NVQ Level 2/3 (2391, 2394, 2395)
• Familiarity with medical‑device equipment maintenance
