Commercial Finance Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing, private‑equity backed organisation to hire a Commercial Finance Manager. The role sits at the heart of the finance function, working closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team to turn complex data into strategic insight.

Key responsibilities

• Produce insightful monthly management information and board‑level reporting.
• Develop and enhance commercial KPIs, dashboards and performance reporting tools.
• Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to drive business performance improvements.
• Support commercial tenders with pricing models, profitability analysis and business cases.
• Provide financial analysis for contract renewals and strategic commercial decisions.
• Assist acquisition activity through financial modelling, due diligence and post‑acquisition performance reporting.
• Present financial information clearly to senior leadership and non‑finance audiences.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Previous experience within a private‑equity backed business (essential).
• Strong commercial finance, FP&A or business‑partnering background.
• Excellent analytical ability with a commercial mindset.
• Proven experience producing board‑level reporting and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Exposure to M&A, acquisitions or commercial projects is highly desirable.

• Advanced Excel.
• Power BI or similar business‑intelligence reporting tools.
• Financial modelling.
