Commercial Gas Engineer – North West (Up to £60,000 OTE)

About the role

Liberty Group is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer to service a varied portfolio of commercial buildings across the North West. You will work locally, enjoy a company van and fuel card, and benefit from strong earning potential and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial gas and solid‑fuel heating systems in line with health & safety and gas safety regulations.
• Carry out occasional installation work on gas equipment.
• Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities.
• Participate in out‑of‑hours call‑outs and overtime (approximately 1 in 5 calls).
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain high safety standards.
• Record work details using a PDA and report accidents, near‑misses and hazards.
• Undertake additional maintenance tasks as required.

Required profile

• ACS qualifications: CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT, COCN1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, CDGA1, CIGA1.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility and a positive attitude towards varied work schedules.
• Solid understanding of gas legislation and regulations.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety best practices.
• Ability to manage time and workload independently.
• Recognised formal qualifications (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) – desirable.
• Additional LPG or unvented system qualifications – desirable.
