Commercial & IP Solicitor (2-5 PQE)

About the role

This position offers a qualified solicitor the chance to join a highly regarded regional law firm recognised by Legal 500. You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from household‑name brands to innovative technology businesses, delivering commercial and intellectual property advice.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and advise on commercial agreements such as supply, distribution, licensing, technology/software and high‑value service contracts.
• Provide IP protection strategies, licensing advice, brand management support and integrate IP considerations into broader commercial transactions.
• Interact directly with clients across sectors including technology, manufacturing, retail and consumer‑facing industries.
• Manage cross‑border matters as the client base expands internationally.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 2‑5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Experience at a Legal 500/Chambers‑ranked firm or a high‑quality in‑house legal team is desirable.
• Background as a commercial lawyer with interest in IP, or an IP lawyer seeking broader transactional work.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial law and the ability to deliver clear, commercially focused advice.
• Excellent client‑facing skills and a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.
