Commercial IT Associate

About the role

Our client, a respected UK law firm, is seeking a Commercial IT Associate to join its commercial team on a hybrid basis. You will work closely with senior lawyers and clients, handling a diverse portfolio of commercial and IT‑related agreements while developing long‑term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commercial trading agreements, IT and outsourcing contracts, and other complex arrangements.
• Conduct legal research, due diligence and provide clear, commercially‑focused advice.
• Manage a varied caseload independently, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm, benefiting from mentoring and structured development support.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong grounding in commercial law and experience drafting/negotiating commercial contracts.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and commercial awareness skills.
• Proactive, self‑motivated with a desire to deepen technical expertise.
• Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset and commitment to high client‑service standards.
