About the role

Mezzle is seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join its innovative, fee‑share consultancy model. You will advise clients on a wide range of commercial disputes, delivering strategic, business‑focused solutions while enjoying the freedom to work on your own terms.

Key responsibilities

• Provide counsel on commercial disputes, including contractual, shareholder, partnership, professional negligence, and debt recovery matters.
• Manage the full dispute lifecycle from pre‑action strategy through settlement, mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings.
• Draft and review pleadings, witness statements, settlement agreements, and other litigation documentation.
• Assess client risk, protect commercial interests, and propose pragmatic resolutions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the process.
• Collaborate with internal consultants, specialists, and external experts to deliver seamless service.
• Develop and manage your own client portfolio within the fee‑share model, generating repeat business and referrals.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with solid experience in commercial dispute resolution.
• Proven ability to develop and sustain client relationships.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire for flexibility and autonomy.
• Comfortable working within a consultancy/fee‑share structure.
