About the role

QED Legal, a Legal 500 listed firm, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join its growing department in Preston. The role offers quality work, no sales targets, and clear pathways for career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload of commercial litigation matters, including contract, shareholder, partnership, insolvency, property, boundary, and professional negligence disputes.
• Supervise and mentor two paralegals, supporting their development.
• Maintain direct client contact with key firm clients and contribute to business development activities.
• Collaborate with a senior partner and a director to shape the department’s growth strategy.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in commercial litigation.
• Comfortable handling a diverse range of dispute types independently.
• Ability to supervise junior staff and contribute to team development.
