Commercial Loss Adjuster

About the role

Adjusting Appointments Limited is seeking a Commercial Loss Adjuster to manage a portfolio of commercial claims across London and the South East. Working remotely, you will book appointments, visit loss sites, and guide claims through to settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Assess allocated commercial loss claims on‑site, gathering evidence and evaluating loss, recovery options and reserves.
• Prepare and deliver case decisions, negotiate settlements via the supply chain or cash payouts.
• Provide precautionary and post‑loss advice to minimise future claims.
• Manage customer interactions efficiently, escalating complex cases as needed.
• Contribute to policy wording reviews and support technical colleagues with expert guidance.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling commercial loss adjustments.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of 50‑60 active losses.
• Progression towards professional qualifications such as Cert CII/Cert CILA is advantageous but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Symbility scheduling tool for building loss assessments.
