Commercial Manager – Business Strategy & Contracts

About the role

The Commercial Manager will drive business strategy, win new work and ensure contract delivery for Gold Group Ltd in Stevenage. You will act as the primary commercial point of contact, guiding negotiations and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and maximise business opportunities through strategic planning.
• Lead the full route to contract, managing bids, cost control and proposal generation.
• Negotiate contract terms and ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers.
• Provide contractual information, legal advice and act as the main contact for project contracts.
• Report contract progress to senior management and represent the commercial team in meetings.
• Analyse complex issues, collaborate with multi‑functional teams and resolve problems promptly.
• Perform day‑to‑day administration and upkeep of company systems.

Required profile

• Confident written and verbal communicator.
• Proven ability to build and sustain working relationships.
• Adaptable, approachable and detail‑oriented.
• Analytical mindset with a determination to succeed.
• Legal background or experience in an in‑house contracts team is advantageous.
• Eligibility for BPSS clearance.
