Commercial Manager – Exhibition & Sponsorship Sales

About the role

We are seeking a proven sales leader to drive the commercial success of a flagship consumer exhibition. You will own both sponsorship and exhibition revenue streams, shaping the launch of a major live‑event brand while leading a high‑performing sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a commercial sales team to exceed revenue targets.
• Drive sponsorship, partnership and exhibition stand sales across the event portfolio.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
• Create compelling, client‑focused commercial proposals.
• Coach team members through regular one‑to‑ones and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with marketing, content and operations to develop new revenue‑generating opportunities.
• Develop long‑term relationships with key sponsors, exhibitors and industry stakeholders.
• Analyse market trends and floor‑plan strategy to maximise commercial outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in exhibition sales, sponsorship sales or event partnerships.
• Track record of delivering revenue growth within large‑scale events.
• Experience managing, coaching or mentoring sales teams.
• Strong new‑business development and relationship‑management capabilities.
• Ability to negotiate and close high‑value commercial agreements.
• Commercially astute, proactive and highly motivated.
• Experience in consumer, lifestyle, interiors or home‑improvement sectors is advantageous.
