About the role

This permanent position is based in Warrington and offers the chance to lead procurement and supply chain activities for a public‑sector organisation. You will be responsible for driving value‑focused commercial processes and ensuring compliance with public‑sector regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance, quality and cost efficiency.
• Lead contract negotiations and oversee contract management activities.
• Ensure adherence to public‑sector procurement regulations and guidelines.
• Analyse market trends to identify cost‑saving and innovation opportunities.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement matters.
• Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply‑chain function.

Required profile

• Strong background in procurement and supply‑chain management within the public sector.
• Proven experience managing contracts and supplier relationships.
• Knowledge of public‑sector procurement regulations and frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Results‑driven with a focus on value creation.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
