Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor – Road Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Manager or Quantity Surveyor to join a respected road surfacing contractor in Sleaford. You will manage the commercial side of road and civil engineering projects from tender through to completion, working closely with the directors and a friendly team of 14.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit competitive tenders for road surfacing and civil engineering work.
• Produce accurate cost estimates, pricing schedules and valuations.
• Manage project budgets, monitor costs and report on profitability.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating contracts and commercial agreements.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support future business development.

Required profile

• RICS qualification (essential).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong numerical and analytical ability.
• Professional, organised approach with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Microsoft Project.
