Commercial Plumbing Engineer

About the role

ECG Facilities Services is seeking a Commercial Plumbing Engineer to join its mobile team serving clients across the Yorkshire region. The role involves maintaining and repairing a wide range of plumbing plant in commercial, retail and industrial environments, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and service unvented hot‑water heaters, pumps, expansion vessels and sanitary ware.
• Install, inspect and repair plumbing and pipework systems, including above‑ground drainage.
• Complete on‑site log books, permits and paperwork, keeping records up to date.
• Work flexibly as part of a mobile team, responding to client requests and emergencies.
• Collaborate with other M&E technicians to deliver integrated facilities maintenance solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in plumbing, HVAC or maintenance engineering within a facilities‑maintenance setting.
• Approved Plumbing Apprenticeship (NVQ 2/3) or equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of commercial plumbing plant and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Client‑focused attitude with good organisational skills.
