Commercial Projects Solicitor – £80-100k (DOE)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Projects Solicitor to join our national team in Oxfordshire. You will lead high‑value commercial contracts for government departments, contracting authorities and private sector clients, taking full ownership of complex project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Structure, draft and negotiate high‑value commercial contracts, including financial and technical schedules.
• Advise on PFI expiry, variations and future public‑private partnership arrangements.
• Oversee project management to ensure seamless delivery of services.
• Participate in business development, tender preparation, pitches and client events.
• Mentor junior team members and support client training initiatives.
• Optionally develop procurement expertise and work on related procurement matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in commercial law.
• Proven experience working with government departments or private organisations contracting with government.
• Strong drafting ability, preferably with experience of the Model Services Contract.
• Excellent communication skills and a pragmatic advisory style.
• Security clearance is advantageous but not mandatory.
