Commercial Property Fee Earner

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Fee Earner to join a growing property team in Redcar. This full‑time position offers the chance to manage a diverse caseload of commercial property matters from instruction through to completion while delivering high‑quality legal advice and an excellent client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial property acquisitions and disposals, including freehold transactions.
• Buy, sell and negotiate retail premises such as shops and takeaways.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial leases, renewals, assignments and variations.
• Provide advice to landlords and tenants on a wide range of commercial property issues.
• Handle small‑scale development projects and related planning matters under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
• Liaise with clients, agents, lenders and other professionals throughout transactions.
• Support business development and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a commercial property caseload.
• Strong knowledge of commercial leases and freehold acquisitions/disposals.
• Familiarity with retail and mixed‑use commercial premises.
• Understanding of planning matters for small developments, including relevant legislation.
• Excellent client care, communication and organisational abilities.
• Proactive, commercially focused approach.
