Commercial Property Solicitor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, commercially‑focused Commercial Property Solicitor to join our growing team in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of commercial property matters, advising developers, investors, landlords, tenants and lenders on high‑value transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial property transactions from instruction to completion, including acquisitions, disposals, freehold and leasehold deals.
• Provide advice on landlord‑tenant matters, property investment, portfolio management and development projects.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial leases, agreements for lease, licences, sale and purchase agreements and development documentation.
• Conduct title investigations, due diligence and risk assessments.
• Liaise with clients, agents, lenders, surveyors, local authorities and other advisers.
• Maintain client relationships, identify cross‑selling opportunities and support business development activities.
• Supervise and mentor junior solicitors or trainees where required.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
• Minimum three years post‑qualification experience in commercial property.
• Proven ability to handle commercial property matters independently.
• Strong client care, commercial awareness and ability to manage competing deadlines.
