Commercial Property Solicitor

About the role

Join a forward‑thinking regional firm in Reading as a Commercial Property Solicitor. This position is ideal for a solicitor, CILEX member or licensed conveyancer with 1‑4 years PQE who wants to develop a robust commercial property practice in the Thames Valley.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied commercial property caseload, including freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals.
• Draft and negotiate commercial leases, agreements for lease and ancillary documents.
• Handle landlord and tenant matters such as renewals, licences and management work.
• Advise on development land and house‑building projects, subject to experience.
• Provide secured lending and property finance support.
• Collaborate with the Corporate team on property aspects of transactions.
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.

Required profile

• 1–4 years PQE as a Solicitor, CILEX member or licensed conveyancer.
• Solid exposure to commercial property work.
• Strong drafting ability and clear communication with commercial clients.
• Organised, proactive and confident in managing own files.
• Team player with an interest in networking and client development.
