Commercial Pump Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Pump Engineer to join CoSourced’s specialist team. You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining and repairing a wide range of pump systems across commercial, industrial and public‑sector sites in the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test and commission various commercial and industrial pump systems (booster sets, circulation, sub‑mersible, drainage, fire, vacuum) to specification and UK standards.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, including inspections, lubrication, vibration analysis and performance checks.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and control faults and perform repairs such as motor, bearing, seal and impeller replacements and control‑panel troubleshooting.
• Identify and implement efficiency improvements and system optimisations.
• Work with associated electrical components, Variable Speed Drives (VSD) and Building Management System (BMS) interfaces.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation, British Standards, WRAS and industry best practice.
• Maintain accurate service records, fault logs and material usage reports.

Required profile

• Strong technical understanding of pump mechanics, hydraulics and electrical control systems.
• Experience working on critical infrastructure in commercial, industrial or public‑sector environments.
• Commitment to delivering reliable, efficient solutions and adhering to safety regulations.
• Ability to produce clear documentation and communicate with clients and stakeholders.
