Commercial Solicitor – 2+ PQE – Devon

About the role

Join a growing corporate and business team in Devon, supporting a diverse portfolio of start‑ups, SMEs and larger corporates. You will advise on a full spectrum of commercial arrangements, delivering practical, commercially‑sound solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on business sales, acquisitions, reorganisations, and commercial contracts.
• Draft and negotiate franchise, agency, consultancy and licensing agreements.
• Manage your own caseload while developing strong client relationships.
• Support junior colleagues and contribute to business‑development initiatives.
• Help shape client‑service standards across the team.

Required profile

• Qualified Commercial Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive in England & Wales.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commercially‑minded with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of contract law.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Ability to handle intellectual property licensing matters.
• Negotiation skills across a range of commercial transactions.
