Commercial Solicitor – Consultant (Hybrid/Remote)

About the role

Richard Nelson LLP, an award‑winning national law firm, is seeking experienced commercial solicitors to join its Consultant network on a self‑employed basis. The role can be performed remotely or from our Nottingham office, offering flexibility while maintaining the firm’s high standards of client service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload of commercial law matters, from initial advice through to resolution.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients, generating revenue for the firm.
• Provide specialist legal advice in areas such as contracts, disputes, and professional discipline.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, professional indemnity, and Lexcel standards.
• Collaborate with the firm’s compliance, administration, and accounts teams.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with post‑qualification experience in commercial law.
• Proven ability to manage a high‑value client portfolio, ideally billing at least £100,000 per annum.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to operate independently while benefiting from firm support.
• Strong track record of fee earning and client relationship management.

• Use of legal practice management software.
